DEADLINE: March 18, 2025 - ADV(OCA)TE: OCA-UPS Gold Mountain Scholarship for Graduating High School Seniors

Award: $2,000

Gold Mountain Scholarship – High School

Eligibility:

  • Identify as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander (AANHPI)
  • High school senior attending college by Fall 2025
  • First-generation college student
  • DACA/undocumented students must have SSN or ITIN
  • May need to submit 2024 or 2025 tax return
  • Must provide proof of college acceptance before receiving funds
  • Cannot be child/dependent of OCA staff, Executive Council, or Business Advisory Council members

Award: $2,500

Gold Mountain Scholarship – College Seniors

Eligibility:

  • Identify as AANHPI
  • College/community college student entering final year (Fall 2025)
  • First-generation college student
  • DACA/undocumented students must have SSN or ITIN
  • May need to submit 2024 or 2025 tax return
  • Must not be past OCA-UPS high school recipient
  • Cannot be child/dependent of OCA staff, Executive Council, or Business Advisory Council members

Award: $2,000

Public Service Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Identify as AAPI
  • Accepted or enrolled in MPA (or similar) program in 2023
  • Cannot be child/dependent of OCA staff, Executive Council, or Business Advisory Council members

DEADLINE: May 31, 2025 - Against the Grain: Artistic Scholarship

Award: $1,000

Artistic Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • At least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity
  • U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident
  • High school senior or college student enrolled full-time at U.S. institution
  • Major in performing/visual arts, journalism, or mass communications
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership in community or extracurricular activities
  • Board members' family members ineligible

DEADLINE: May 31, 2025 - Against the Grain: Groundbreaker Leadership Scholarship

Award: $1,500

Groundbreaker Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • At least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity
  • U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident
  • High school senior or college student enrolled full-time
  • Open to all majors
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Visionary leadership through innovation
  • Board members' family members ineligible

DEADLINE: May 31, 2025 - Against the Grain: Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship

Award: $1,000 – $5,000

Entrepreneur Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • At least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity
  • U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident
  • High school senior or college student enrolled full-time
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership and involvement
  • Must own and operate a small business for at least 1 year with 6 months of revenue
  • Must submit business plan/website and social media
  • Board members' family members ineligible

DEADLINE: May 31, 2025 - Against the Grain: #LiveLikeLyly Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000

#LiveLikeLyly Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • At least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity
  • U.S. citizen, national, or legal permanent resident
  • High school senior or college student enrolled full-time
  • Major in fashion or graphic design
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Board members' family members ineligible

OPENING: Early Spring 2025 - Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA) Scholarship

Award: $2,000

APALA Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Of Asian/Pacific Islander heritage
  • Enrolled or admitted to ALA-accredited master’s or doctoral program in library/information science
  • Full-time or part-time students eligible
  • Must be in library school by Fall 2025
  • Must be APALA member in good standing by application deadline
  • Cannot have received APALA scholarship previously
  • Must be willing to serve on Scholarship Committee the following year
