AAPI New Years
AAPI New Year celebrations at UNM, such as the Lunar New Year, and Nowruz (Persian New Year) events, bring together a wide array of student organizations to honor the cultural significance of this holiday. These events have seen growing participation in recent years, with hundreds of attendees celebrating through performances, food, and interactive activities. It emphasizes the importance of cultural diversity and fosters a sense of unity across different AAPI communities, enhancing the campus's multicultural environment

Lunar New Year is the first new moon of a lunar calendar or lunisolar calendar year, whose months are moon cycles. The event is celebrated by numerous cultures in various ways on diverse dates
