Our Program

We had a wonderful program of starting with our emcee Professor Kristina Yu followed by President Garnett Stokes. Farah Nousheen spoke about AAPI Resource Center’s first year and granted the first AAPIRC Service Awards to students Bethany Brundage and Language Appreciation Circle facilitators Huy Nguyen, Aiman Aamer, and Vincent Hilario. Our Keynote Speaker, Representative Reena Szczepanski gave an inspiring Keynote. Our student speakers were Yuka K. Doherty and Lujayn Al-Ghweir. You can see the Powerpoint here for details.

Your feedback matters to us!

The Convocation is one of AAPIRC's major programs. We would like to make the experience the best we can for graduates, families, the UNM community, and community at large. We hope with each year, the AAPI convocation will continue toward being empowering, inclusive, enjoyable, educational, community-oriented, memorable, and inspirational.

We want AAPI graduate and undergraduate students to look forward to their ceremony as a source of encouragement during their studies at UNM.
